Great Idea for Twin or Triplet Stroller & CHEAP!

I discovered this a few years ago and use it when I only have a couple or a few kids at my daycare for walks to the school. I thought I'd share it with you guys if you have this type of need. If I have more than a few kids than I use my big huge 48" wagon. But if you are needing a twin stroller or a triplet stroller and dont want to spend a lot of money, this is great.

Basically I went to Babies R Us and bought 3 cheap but really cute lime green umbrella strollers for $15 each. Then you buy these attachments called "Munchkin Stroller Links" ($8 for a set). You can lock 2 of the umbrella strollers together by their sides and then lock a 3rd one on to the other side as well if you want a triple stroller.

3 umbrella strollers locked together were still able to fit on the average side sidewalk and turned pretty well. The only thing that might be a problem is getting into narrow doorways. But if your just going for an outdoor walk, its great.

You'll basically spend: $15 per umbrella stroller (for the cheaper ones) and $8 for each attachment set... So about $65 vs spending hundreds on fancy ones. And the cool part is that you can make it double or triple for whatever your daily needs are. Hope this helps some of you

I've wondered how those links work, glad to hear they do!! I saw a photo once (not sure if it was on here) of 2 DOUBLE strollers linked together and thought that was a pretty cool idea if you happened to have 2 doubles, LOL!

Any idea how wide 3 of those cheapy strollers would be when linked together??

I use the umbrellas as a double stroller when the weather is appropriate as well. Much easier to fit into a trunk. The only issue I've had is getting it through doorways, so I only take it out when I know there will be large double doors, or use it for walks.

Don't know how it would work out with 3 attached. Two are enough for me! I also don't think it provides enough protection for kids in cooler/inclement weather, but otherwise, it's a great deal.

I use 3 and its fine. Just dont plan on going thru a narrow doorway. You can turn it sideways if you need to, but can get difficult. 3 of the umbrella strollers side by side is just as wide as 3 of them are next to eachother. The attachments do not add any width. I use it easily with 3 toddlers. People get out of my way when they see me coming 2 of them attached is definitely smoother than using 3, but 3 still works fine for me!

my dd's doll stroller came with something like that so she can attach another stroller to it. She wasn't keen on it so she has a expensive double stroller for her dolls instead.

I'm going to have to try this now! I have an old decrepit Maclaren double and a cheap TRU umbrella stroller (was free with a purchase 2-3 years ago). I could use a triple now and again.

This is super cool! I could easily attach my double umbrella stroller to my single one on days I need to contain 3 instead of 2. Right now I sling one but she can get heavy if we're walking several km or I have her on for long periods of time. She's a solid 30lb.

                              Great idea.

too bad they don't have an attachment to put them together one behind the other.
