Not Enough Time In The Day...

I am in the process of coming up with a curriculum (not too strict, mostly crafts and regular play ideas)...but it's like there is not enough time in the day. Between eating, potty/changing and napping there isn't much time. My kids do not stay very late in the day and are really good nappers. I'm just having a hard time coming up with a schedule because there are so much I'd like for us to try or do, but not enough time in the day/week. Of course I could do it the next day, but if we are doing themed weeks it wouldn't work so well.

Can you share your daily schedule for preschool age? I'm going to search for some older threads too. Thanks.

We do all our curriculum activities between 9-11am daily. Sometimes we forgo this to go to the park, the library, the drop-in centre, ect. I aim for monthly themes so that we can take our time through them. We pick general themes..."Dinosaurs" "Health" "The Farm", ect.

I also have a very young group (4 1yos, 2 3yos) who also nap well, pickup at 3:30, ect. That's our best chunk of time and we usually have snack in the middle of it.

Approximately 9-11 here as well. The youngest half of my group doesn't come until almost 10, so the more "real" preschool stuff happens the earliest, with simpler things that the littler kids can join in on happening later. I'm going with month-long themes, or possibly even 6-week themes. For example, next week I'm starting with a "Beach/Ocean/Pirate" study, and it will last until mid-September, probably. No one ever said you have to do them weekly!

My kids also don't stay late and we go outside from 11-lunch.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

Off topic but wow you guys have amazing days.

I have 2 babies who wont sleep EVER it seems plus my own newborn. And kids are here until 5 30 everyday.

Wish I could even think about activities anymore.
My only advice is pick a time and stick to it.
