Need Help With Rate For Part Time

It would be 7:30-12:30 M-F, year round for an almost 3 year old. This would give me 4 almost 3year olds for a morning pre-preschool type program. I have space for 5.

    My current rates are FT 4-5 days $150/wk, PT 2-3days $40/day, B&A $75/wk, drop-in $5/hour.

If I did the drop-in rate it'd be the $25/day but I have a feeling she's looking for more of a rate discount. She did however say she knew that it was hard to fill an afternoon spot. Does this sound reasonable? What would you charge if you allowed PT rates.

I've had 3 open spots for months and months, finally 2 phone calls in 1 week.

Well since it's 5 hrs I would charge the full rate. I charge part time for 4 hours or less. I think that $25/day is reasonable considering your full time rate. My full time rate is $125/week and part time is $90/week.

I would likely consider that a FT space and charge accordingly. I *may* be willing to drop it $5 a day but no more than that. My vote is $125 per week based on your fee schedule.

My part time minimum is $100 a week for up to 24 hours.

I don't go any less than that.

I go by the full day whether they are there or not. If I really needed to fill the spot then $20 a day is the cheapest I would go (I currently charge $30 per day)

$25 a day sounds reasonable to me. I charge more for FT weekly than you do ($160) and I charge $40 for a full day drop-in (no more than 10 hours). If you want less than a full day then it's $5 an hour, for 5 hours it comes out to be $25 so I think you're right on the ball also.

I also charge $25 for 4 hours and then an extra $5 per hour after that. I have kids from 8:30am until 1:30am and charge $30.

The child is there for breakfast and lunch, all of morning learning/play time. The only think they are really leaving for is nap, snack, and minimal play time after nap, right? Since they are basically receiving the majority of the day's services, $25 a day sounds reasonable to me.

Thanks everyone. I think $25 is reasonable since it's what my posted drop in rate is, it's less than FT and yes, she'd be here for the majority of the program only missing nap, PM snack and afternoon free play.
