    LOVE Rummage Sales!

Tonight I came to fast stop while driving home because I noticed a bunch of children's items on a rummage sale. I found a Radio Flyer Girl's Folding Trike for $3.00! THREE DOLLARS.

These are normally over $40 in stores. I scrubbed it up in the tub and looks nearly new without the lid to the storage part in the back. Already gave my kitten a ride around our living room on it, LOL.

I love sales like that. I bought a radio flyer sit and push toy for 5 dollars. Total solid wood. I need new tricycles. Maybe today I will venture out to yard sales.

I love, love, love, yard sales. Last weekend I bought two bikes and a few little pushy cars for about $30.00.

Me too! I never buy anything new for the daycare. Craft supplies, toys, furniture, storage, etc... all from garage sales or craigslist.
        I see little people.

I have not bought much of anything new for daycare besides the calendar or wall items and such. All the toys and baby equipment is second-hand, but you would never know. I take time to shop around and am very frugal in general. No one calls me cheap so that's good!

This weekend I went to most of our thrift and second-hand shops and had the best deals ever! I bought a baby bouncer that is currently selling at Walmart for $43 for only $22 and it came with the owners manual.

I went to a store that had a sale of buy one get one free of equal or lesser value in the toys department only. I didn't plan on buying anything since I was mainly out looking for larger more-costly baby equipment items. I walked down by the toys and saw a HUGE bag of those pattern blocks like what Melissa and Doug sells for $20 with 120 pieces and 5 wooden pattern cards. The bag contained 261 wooden colored pattern blocks and was only $4.49! I came home and cleaned them and googled and found a website to print off the cards used for them and will laminate those this week. http://www.kellyskindergarten.com/ma...activities.htm
(Click on the Pattern Block Pictures Set 1 and 2) SO, since it was BOGO, I found a huge 4 by 6 foot rug for cars to be driven around on and it's very unique and has fantastic backing where it will not slide. It was also $4.49 so total both of these wonderful items were under $5!

I also came across a variety of unique wooden trains with wooden colored beads to place on each train. Purchased a handful of books that look brand new. Lastly, found a "puppy family" which had a stuffed golden mommy dog with two baby twin pups all attached to a dog bed. I cut off the strings holding them on and tossed those dogs into the wash and dry and now they'll be part of the dramatic play area! Had to share all my wonderful deals!!!! Thanks for listening, .
