    Putting Posters Lower Problem

I have a little 2 yr old boy who every time I put posters up closer to the floor, he tears them up. Every time. So it makes it hard to do circle time with them because I have to put them so high! What alternatives are there to this? Maybe do them on an easel or something? I am at my wits end because he is tearing everything I own up! Space is at a premium around here as it is.

Wow....laminators are expensive but is that an option?

I have the same problem so I put everything up high and only take out the stuff I plan to actually let them touch. My licensor commented on how high I have everything but I have no intention of putting out money over and over again for torn up items. It's just for "beautification" and then I'll take out whatever we actually use.

When I had some on the walls I had them laminated at kinkos. I even took 2 of the same and cut the shapes/colors out on one so we could velcro the pieces to the other. The smaller pieces ended up getting wrinkled from play but the big one stayed perfect for years.

OH!!! I almost forgot....when laminating was too expensive for me (it still is, LOL) I would use clear Contact Paper. You put your poster in between the sticky sides of both sheets and it's almost just like laminating. You can even cut around the item to tidy it up. You can buy a large roll of it at Staples for about $10.00.

I have my calendar hanging on the wall with contact paper. I have the contact paper far enough away from the edges so that they don't even 'see' the edges of the contact paper. No one has ever pulled it off the wall (yet!)
(I think the idea came from this forum, but sorry I don't remember whose it was!)

Yep, laminate. I use the clear contact paper as well. Works great! If you can afford it or if you find a good deal you could get one of those clear window deals for putting pics in on the wall. It's way easier to clean off, too. I want one of those plus a kids mirror, but it's not happening as of yet

Oh yeah, for calander time, I just lift up my kiddos to help me place the date on it and stuff. Sometimes, I use a stepping stool. I even let the younger ones help out the best they can I always place them just high enough that the "two's" can't reach them.
