Same in OH and WV. 1% or skim. Which irritates me because now I will have to have 2 gallons at all times instead of 1 but I guess we'll deal with it.

It hasnt changed here in MD yet, but my food program lady was here last week and I asked her, and she said that yes, they are changing, she just wasnt sure when it would go into effect.
I want to know how we are going to "make water accessible" all day? Does that just mean giving them water from time to time, when they ask? Or literally leaving it where they can get it themselves?
I only allow the kids to eat/drink if seated at the table, and I dont like the thought of them having free reign to cups of water. Our licensing rules state no sippy cups over age 18mo, so I am required to use regular cups. My group of 2 year olds will have that all over the place.- Flag

We got the memo here. Sounds good to me. I mentioned it to my parents and thankfully they all agreed that it is not my job to replace ALL the food/calories/meals their kids eat in one day so they could care less.- Flag

Same with us too. 1% or skim after 2 yrs old. Personally, I think it's good. These children now days are getting too many calories as it is. The calcium is the same, so serving healthier milk just makes more sense. I always wondered why they wouldn't allow lower fat milk. I'm glad they've changed it now.- Flag
