    It is a safty issue.

I am not packing spaghetti, greenbeans, pears to the pool in a lunch bag when I already have 15 things and 4 kids. I am also no exiting the pool to have a special "i'm hungry NOW' lunch. Nope. The rule is you don't eat lucnh you wait for snack...and that won't change.
I wasn't saying you were using it as a punishment. I was only trying to help by offering a suggestion of what I would do.

It's offical I sent the others off to the pool and I stayed in with little Suzie, bummer I wanted to go too! It would have been a nice laid back day at the pool with just 4 kids! (we average 8)

why is it ok for the school to do this but home daycares are not. How many times we argue this issue but schools are doing it. Whats the difference.

We are FAMILY DAYCARES, not schools.

Yup, but I include nap as well. No way that you have enough energy to splash around the pool for 2+ hours in the heat and you've been up since 6 am nonstop. The kid might make themselves push through it out of sheer will, but they're going to be whining, overtired mess. Just common sense. My thing is, if the kid has problems doing the usual, routine activities, how can they handle UNusual activities??

What is the update on this? How did DCM handle knowing that Suzie didn't get to go to the pool at pick-up?
