Question for those of you that offer parttime rates. I have 3 or 4 day rates for parttimers. I recently had a pregnant mom inquiring about care for 2 days per week. I am wondering if I offer her the 3 day rate (as I am not ready to give up the possibility of finding at least a 3 day infant by the time she needs care), how do I go about letting her do drop in? I.E. she needs care on Tues/Thurs but is paying for 3 days. Do I allow her to use an extra day if she feels like it? Should I have a policy that she notify me at least X number days in advance if she would like her child to attend an extra day? Any advice would be great!

I have a $100 minimum per week. That is good for up to 24 hours of care per week.
For example:
DCM needs childcare on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7am to 530pm, that's 10.5 hours per day or 21 hours for the week. She would be able to bring little Johnny for another 3 hours another day but I request it be the same day each week. And, make sure you put a time frame on it...for example, 9am - 12pm or 12pm - 3pm. Far too often the parent will want to drop off in the middle of naptime at 2pm and pick up at 5pm. Nope, good try. ::

I would either have mom deiced which third day she is paying to reserve, or she could tell you with at least 48 hours notice, and then when you get full you can tell her which third day she is now paying to reserve.- Flag
