what extra fees do you charge?

Do you charge parents for their vacations? Do you get paid for yours? Do you charge late fees? Do you charge enrollment or deposit fees? What about activity fees? Fees for field trips? Do you charge extra for curriculum or other supplies? If yes, which ones and how much extra do you charge?

Do you get paid for yours? yes
Do you charge late fees? No My policy on being late is: don't do it No matter what they are going to be late a couple of times a year. I don't charge for that. If I had one that was continually late I would term. I don't play that.
Do you charge enrollment or deposit fees? yes 60 dollars
    What about activity fees? No
Fees for field trips? no field trips
Do you charge extra for curriculum or other supplies? I have parents bring what I need. I text them what I need and it appears within a week. It's mostly ziplocs, computer paper, paper towels, paint and construction paper.

      - I allow full time clients (5 days a week), 5 paid vacation days with 30 days notice.
      - I will be as of September when I roll out my new contracts.
      - Late fees are $1 a minute. If you know ahead of time you will be late and ASK, I will charge my hourly rate instead.
      - Registration fee of $45 per child. This covers paperwork and supplies specifically for your child. Yearly supply fee of $40 per child.
      - No field trips.
      - No extra for preschool learning.

I charge parents for thier vacations but not mine aside from national holidays. I dont do late fees because no ones been late yet. But it is in my contract. If we go on a field trip its usually free and a walking field trip but starting next month we will be going on a field trip every two months and the parents will pay those fees. (whatever the cost to get in the place and lunch or whatever) I do not charge cirriculum fees because I make my own and I usually find free things to do. Although I will ask parents for thing occasionally like I asked my sister for her big baby food jars cause we are making sand art out of them next week. So its mostly"dont throw that away" LOL

I thought of a supply fee of $20 a year. Do parents seem to mind the supply fee or do they understand?

After 3 months care, they get one week of vacation (taken at one time) with a 2 week notice.

I get 5 paid days per year. These can be together or not.

No late fees at this point. In nearly two years, two parents have been late one time each.

Only deposit fee is if I am holding a spot. Then it is half the regular fee until child is in attendance.

            No other fees.

                      Here's what I charge

I have mostly school aged kids.

I charge a $50 enrollment fee per family, regardless of the number of children.
I get paid holidays off, but no paid vacation. I do have 10 paid sick days per year.
I charge parents the full rate when they are gone for vacation.

As far as late payments, I charge weekly, with 2 weeks paid in advance. Payment is due Friday for services to be rendered beginning on the following Monday. The late fee is $10 per day after Friday that I am not paid, and kids DO NOT get dropped off until it is paid.

NSF check fee is $25 plus $10 for every day that it takes me to get paid in full.

Late pickup fee is $1 per minute, due before kids can be dropped off again.

I do not charge activity fees. I do not charge for any supplies.

Do you get paid for yours? nope never
Do you charge late fees? yes right now its $1.00 a min late/early. Starting Sept 1, the late fee will be an increase of $1.00 in their daily DC fees every time they are late. EX: DC rate is $50.00 a day, first time late it's now $51.00 second time late, its $52.00 and so on. I will reset it back at the start of each september.

Do you charge enrollment or deposit fees? no

What about activity fees? Depends on what it is. If its over $10.00 yes

Fees for field trips? Same as above

Do you charge extra for curriculum or other supplies? yes I charge $15.00 every month summer included. I also ask them to donate supplies off of a gathering list. Each family has to donate at least 3 items monthly off the list or next month the curriculum fee goes up to $20.00. The gathering list usually consisit of everyday items you have at home and are hardly ever items you would need to purchase.

I charge a flat rate monthly fee - my holidays, vacations, sick days and personal days are paid, and parents pay whether or not their child is in attendance (vacation, sick days, etc).
I charge $1/minute for late and early fees. Regular lates/earlies will result in termination. I also charge a $10/day late fee for late payments... third day of non-payment will result in termination - no exceptions. I charge a $35 NSF fee for bad checks along with any additional bank fees, and require payment in cash only after that.
I pay for feild trips and supplies out of pocket (built into my monthly fee).
I don't charge a registration fee as all my office supplies are written off, and I consider interview time as just part of the teritory in this business.
Holding fee is $15/day up to a maximum of 9 months - paid upfront - non-refundable.

                          I have no other fees.

Do you charge parents for their vacations? They get 2 weeks free (with 4 weeks notice and I charge for the rest.
Do you get paid for yours? I get pd for all of my time off other than one week in the summer. I take a week at Christmas and 11 holidays.
Do you charge late fees? Yes. $5/10 min late for late arrivals and $10/day for late pmt.
Do you charge enrollment or deposit fees? no
What about activity fees? If it costs more than $2 or $3 per child, yes.
Fees for field trips? Again if it costs more than $2 or $3 per child the parents contribute.
Do you charge extra for curriculum or other supplies? I ask them to bring things like sunblock periodically but I don't charge.
If yes, which ones and how much extra do you charge? ---

I allow fulltime families 10 days vacation, without fees, provided they give 4 weeks notice of their vacation. After that, they pay full fees. Parttime families (min 3/day week) get 5 vacation days.

I do not get paid for my summer vacation but I do get paid for my Christmas vacation (most of my families use one of their 'free' weeks for christmas though). I do get paid for up to 5 sick days. I do also charge for DCK sick days. I do get paid for all stat holidays

I charge late fees of $1/min for the first and 2nd time a late occurs. The 3rd time is termination.

No activity fees generally. Next year, when I have 3yos, I will require a small contribution to my zoo pass. It's the only activity we do regularly that costs money, but only for the 3+ crowd. The zoo is a 1/4 mile from our house and offers wonderful free programs for kids if you have a season's pass, so I buy one yearly.

No fees for curriculum or supplies. It's all factored in to my daily rate.
