Not Looking Forward To Being Inside.....

Starting tomorrow till next Thursday we are in a heat advisory of over 100 degrees. I watch 4 kids under 2. Does anyone have any good ideas of things to do with young toddlers being trapped inside for a week when i looks so beautiful out???? Ahhhhh, not looking forward to it

same here. not sure what im gonna do! I was thinking that it would be a good time to work on teaching practical life skills, setting table, folding napkins, pouring, cooking would be fun too.

I always try to do something active inside to burn off some excess energy. We usually play with balls, the parachute, or build tents.

I feel your pain. I have from 3 mo -19 mo. We have been under that sort of heat for a month now. Plus I have been recovering from a hospital visit from pneumonia. We have been inside for a long time. The parents aren't at all upset. They appreciate the fact that I don't want to have kids that can't talk and say, "hey I'm hot", outside in the heat index of 100-112!

We have been doing a lot more music and dancing. Reading books, building blocks etc. Mine are all too young for the crafts and play doh. The 19 mo is just now getting where we could do any play doh or maybe learn to color. The others would all eat it!

What about going to the $ store and buying some mylar balloons with the litte weights on the string and just set them in you playroom on the floor? The kids will take it from there It might get wild but might run off some of that energy

I'm in Nova Scotia and it's been so cold this summer that the kids are still wearing jackets outside. Send some of that heat thissaway please!

We have a high of 70 degrees and it is 4:00 p.m.. It has rained off and on all day! I'm so tired of this. I have no energy to do anything because of the gray skies. Really doesn't help when you suffer from SAD and summertime should be the time you have all your energy.
