They make dye cuts. Great for making your own greeting cards, as well as many other uses.

The absolute coolest thing ever invented!! Can you tell I love mine?

It does die-cuts in a whole new way. Great for cards, scrapbookers, bulletin borads, craft projects and wall words as well as a bajillion other things!! I use mine and make wall words for family and friends with the vinyl that peels and sticks over and over again. It's sooooo cool! I am sure there are a bunch of other things it does but those are what I thought of off the top of my head.

Check out some of the videos at this link and it will show you all the cool things you can do: http://www.cricut.com/education/video/

Hello! I use it to make the projects for my children from school. And also saves a lot of time in the preschool, because my Cricut machine cut anything I want, and different sizes. If I can help you with something, let me know.

card stock works just fine...if you get paper that's too thin it rips easily.

I use all kinds of different papers. Cardstock, vinyl, regular paper, cardboard (not the corrugated kind though), wrapping paper etc. You just have to set the cutting depth for the specific paper you are using. My sister is pretty good at getting tissue and vellum paper to work nicely.

Has anyone cut fabric with it? I love to quilt but HATE to cut my fabric.

I use mine for all sorts of projects, but mostly I use it for letters and shapes. I even have a cartridge that cuts little gift boxes and bags. So cute! Perfect for gift cards, candy or little party favors.

There is a forum board on the Cri-cut website and although I have not tried to cut fabric or felt, I found a link where the forum members do address it...hope this helps.

I remember when they first came out. They are the brainchild of Provo Craft. (I live in the next city over from Provo Utah.) I used to spend hours in Provo Craft buying craft stuff.

Utah women are rabid scrapbookers and crafters and this took off like wildfire across the county, then the state and now the entire country. I have dozens of friends with the thing! I don't own one though!
