    He is SO LOUD

I have a darling little boy who just turned 3 in my preschool daycare class. He is so fun, I so enjoy him, he makes me laugh daily. However, he is so LOUD! I look at him with my finger to my lips or say shh quiet voice please. and say this quietly. He hears me and continues to talk. Anyway, after he gets there in the morning the whole classroom gets louder. Do any of you have a child like this in your care? The only thing I can say bad about the kid is he is SO LOUD! He is also the first one to cover his ears and say too loud when the other kids are talking or playing. LOL. (Hey maybe I should try that on him, LOL )

Even at rest time he is a bit quieter but still talking to himself or singing. During rest time I have even touched his lips with my finger gently and said shhh he keeps mumbling or singing it is a tad quieter but still I can hear him across the room. Sometimes he sleeps. One day he kept saying SHHHHHHH, SHHHHHHHHHH, SHHHHHHHHh he would be quiet and say SHHHHHHH, SHHHHH, SHHHHHHH again. (rinse, repeat). And he did not say it quietly either. It was actually funny my coworker and I just laughed. He didn't know we were laughing though.

I had two like that and actually had parents that were complaining because their children were becoming very loud at home and would not quiet down. Come to find out both of the loud ones had chronic ear infections and finally had tubes in. Both both doctors said that they would probably always be a louder child because they weren't able to hear clearly when little and learned to speak at a louder volume so it would always be normal for them. You may check with the mom and see if he is prone to ear infections.

You know that is a good point he always seems to have a snotty nose as well and contantly needing it wiped.

One little boy in my class got tubes put in and he was so funny he told his mom and dad to be quiet they were too loud after he got them and then he said the dr turned my ears up.
