    What A Great Day!

So I usually have about 6... sometimes 8 children enrolled in my daycare. But a couple months ago, I had one leave due to a move and then a week later had a brother/sister sibling move due to a military transfer. Then a couple weeks ago I had another one leave for the summer and then hes going off to Kindergarten. So for the first time since I first started doing daycare I am down to only TWO daycare kids!

For some odd reason it didnt freak me out at first... but then last week I really felt down. I wasn't getting any calls or emails with interest. I started thinking I need to find a job outside the home. I was applying all over. My youngest son asked me if I was going to start working a job away from home and I said that I might... His response was "No Mama... I want you to be home for me... Your my Mama"... ahhhhh

So the last week I just started really praying about it. Praying that the Lord would either bring me some really great new daycare families or help me find a good job. So all week... no phone calls. And no luck finding a job. Then today it changed!

I got FIVE daycare tours scheduled today!!! Is that crazy or what?!?! I have 3 scheduled for tomorrow and 2 for next week. And they ALL sounded like great families! I'm so happy right now! I think God answered my prayers ~ obviously! So tomorrow will be crazy for me. I hope that they all go smooth. I lucked out with a day off tomorrow - but now it will be all about doing some tours!

I just thought I'd share my "feel good" story for today Yipee!

Ask and ye shall receive. Just be very careful of what you ask for. ::

Exactly! haha --- the good thing is that all of these people dont need daycare all at once... one in 2 weeks to start... the other in July, another in August, one in November and December. So it will definitely be spaced out. Even if just one or two is a good family, then I'm stoked

That is great. I think it is nice too not to have them all start at once if they all decide to go with you. How nice to have a gradual increase. Enjoy the quiet days for now right?

                            So far... ok

So my first daycare tour arrived on time... super nice family and an adorable little girl. BUT they have no idea what they want right now. They live 30 minutes away but the mom works near me. So they are trying to decide if they should get daycare by home or work. They are "thinking" about it - so we'll see.

My second tour called me 10 minutes after she was supposed to be here. She sounded like she just woke up. BUT she claims she was all ready to come but her husband accidentally took the carseat to work with him so she'd have to reschedule. Thats fine. I needed a break after that first one... but still kinda bugged that she sounded like she was lying about the excuse. She wouldnt sound like she just woke up if she had been up and ready to go. Oh well. Maybe thats a red flag huh? :0)

Now one more tour at 4:30. This lady sounded really nice. So we'll see! Hopefully the 3rd one is a charm

The first one sounds good, I like that they are making sure it is a good fit before putting you and their child through alot of stress.

The second one would not get a second chance here.

Fingers crossed for you on the third!!!
