    Really?

Beautiful day today....finally. And I have a DC full of kids in jeans.

One dad actually dropped off his child, squinting at the bright sun at 8am, commenting on how it was going to be a scorcher and then was completely dumbfounded when I asked where DCB's hat was. Are you kidding me? You're wearing shorts and a tshirt with sunglasses and you didn't notice it was nice when you dressed your child in jeans, a tshirt and a sweatshirt?? We didn't have a field trip to the Arctic today that I can remember.....last time I checked it's SUMMER. Grrrrrr.

I have extra hats, shorts, swimsuits etc etc etc but sometimes the sheer dumbness of parents stops even me in my tracks. I'm composing a reminder letter right now with a list of supplies for Monday.

Not to mention no sunblock I'm sure.

Don't you ask them to give you weather appropriate spares?

I do but the spares went home earlier this week when he got soaked out in the yard. I'll dress him in my shorts etc for today. That's the reason for the reminder letter. I'm going to ask for two sets instead of the usual one spare.

I get parents to give me sunblock each spring and I apply it myself. This particular DCB got a horrible burn on dad's watch last year so I would never trust his sunblocking abilities.

We have a heavy set little boy who comes to our center and every day he has on jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Really? One day after dad left I was like I am changing him. This poor little guy sweats the second the sun hits him too.

I know what you mean by some parents. I would rather the parent tell me that they chose to wear this and they do have something cooler or warmer in their back pack.

I know how you feel. I have a 9 month old that comes in long sleeves and sweat pants everyday.

I was thinking of either just buying some clothes from goodwill and putting the kids in them. My other thought was, if I could ever afford to get some nice cubbies I could put a supply list next to them and the parents would be in charge of making sure I have supplies.
