Finally! I can't wait to get out there and advertise. Does anyone have any recommendations for web sites to get listed? I found many paid web sites to get listed on, but I imagine some are better than others.

My local newspaper has a free ad section online...so I use that if I feel like it.

However...I have found the best thing is to get in the yellow pages. It's not instant of course...but my phone never stops ringing. People either look through the book or find me online through Dex. It's only $13 per month and is well worth it for me. I stay full almost all the time. I fill spots within days if I get one.

Also consider your own web site. We are just finishing up ours! There are plenty of free design sites that talk you through it...no experience needed.

Also there are free websites... care.com , sittercity.com, pennysaverusa.com, and of course, daycare.com (Just ask this really cool guy names Michael about getting listed here)
people love pictures of you, so they can kinda "visualize' where their child will be.

I just use craigslist, and care.com, as well as daycare.com (I think when you hit 50 posts you can be listed here)

All my calls came from people seeing the sign I had made up outside the house. Only one call from 211 child care. No calls from other day care site ads.
