"Take your hand out of your mouth!"

This kid is too old to stuff his whole hand in his mouth. It looks ridiculous. He's almost three... very intelligent, and no.. he's not teething.

Can I just keep telling him to get his hand out of his mouth? I really can't stand to see him doing it.

He's a nervous kid anyway.. his mom is a very nervous parent. So, I think it's an actual habit... but, it's so gross. Why can't he **** on the collar of his shirt like other kids?

Someone on here told me to send them to wash hands every time. It really worked. For 3 days my 3y DCB was washing hand every 10 minutes. He only needs to be reminded about 1-2 times a day now.

I have a 2yr old dcb who sticks both his fingers in his nose. Constantly. When you scold him, its instant fingers in nose and full body board on the floor.

Take him to wash his hands EVERY TIME you see that hand in his mouth. That took care of the issue for me!

BTW - my child was DX'd ADHD later on in life. Sometimes the really bright ones lack a lot in other areas. "You can't have it all" - it's one of my mottos.

Hmm.. he definitely has some speech issues. A great vocabulary, but very poor speech. He's possibly immature, but I think it's more that he's never had a big social life.

His mom is very, very hard on him. He's in trouble from the moment she walks into pick him up, til she drops him off the next day. She starts yelling at him before she even says "hi". It drives me INSANE. "Sheesh.. give the kid a break". It's for things like putting his shoes on the wrong feet, or not knowing where one shoe is, or heaven forbid he be wearing different pants in the afternoon. If he wets his pants, I try to wash them really fast so he's still wearing the same pants when she comes back.
