    Overnight Rate?

I offer overnight care to the families enrolled in my daycare. I know parents need a night off once and a while (I know I do!), for big events, or quick trips out of town.

Does anyone do this/what do you charge?

I only had a couple of families that I did this for. At that time, I only charge an extra $20 a night.

      I do occasionally. Drop-in Welcomed.

I charge $50 for overnight (that includes the daily rate for those enrolled, so $21 extra) or $150 for a whole weekend, Friday-Monday. (unless true family emergency then I typically don't charge). Cash.

Keep in mind, I live in an area with a much lower cost of living. (Full-Time is $105 week, here...going rate)

So for most areas you should multiply by two, it seems. ::::

I also offer one free Saturday (10 hours), the first weekend of December for parents Christmas shopping. Just a little perk.
      - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.

        Thanks for your responses!

I think $50/night will work here. I'll probably offer 7:00 pm to 10:00 am as the normal hours, which exceptions if needed. (i.e an early show, etc.)

I charge $25 FT (5 or more hrs) and $25 for over nights. That would be $50. I do this often for one of my families!! They like to go out of town once a yr for a week and I usually will have there little guy about 4 days during the summer.
