DCG Cries About Everything

I have a 4yr old dcg that is usually a happy kid and likes to play but lately she cries about everything and never wants to play with the other kids. If my son tries to sit next to her she freaks out and starts crying, if I tell her not to do something she starts crying, and she's been crying for her mom and dad as well. Now her mom is due in Aug and I know dcg is not happy about it, so I was just wondering if it could be because of the new baby coming.

She really is a sweetie and it breaks my heart to see her so unhappy now.

could be baby related. perhaps there are showers, people visiting and all sorts of excitement that she is not a part of. Have you talked to mom about this issue?

I had a little girl who did the same thing a few years ago. It went on for quite some time, and I finally suggested to her mom that she should think about enrolling her in a full-time preschool. I never did figure out why she suddenly became so emotional, and she was much better after moving to the full-time school situation.
