Getting Worried About DCB - Tired vs Depressed?

So 'payment drama' mama (he he he) again. DCB is having increasing difficulty separating from mom now that we're back to the PT schedule. The last 4 times he's been here, including today, he goes straight down for a nap. Cries himself to sleep. He asks for the nap. In the last month he went from a happy playful child to bascially crying and refusing to play. He will stand in the middle of the room rocking, ****ing on his fingers, pinching his face and crying. DCM is having some of her own issues atm and I'm wondering if her current condition is effecting DCB and at what point it becomes something I have to report?

Whatever is going on beyond what you can see, is causing this child a great deal of stress and heartache. The way he is behaving it would almost seem like he's coping with a tragedy.

You need to discuss with mom immediately that whatever it is is affecting this child and he may need some professional help, therapy or something.

The rocking etc is not a new behavior but had gone away almost completely after he was here a month FT. He had never been away from DCM or Grammy and I knew he was coping with that. Now that they are back to PT it's started again. He's 2.5y and speaks very well, but has LOTS of quirks. I've been open with DCM about the red flag behaviors/characteristics since the beginning. She brought them to the pediatrician who dismissed them as being normal 2yo behavior. The Dr is using the fact that he speaks as the deciding factor that he does not have anything wrong developmentally or emotionally. Now that I'm seeing it again I'm thinking it must be some sort of anxiety. Hands tied as I watch this kid slip further and further down a very bad path. I desperately want to talk Grammy but can't due to confidentiality. Which is why I'm wondering at what point his deterioration becomes reportable to CPS?
