I don't know about anyone else but it seems like my daycare is full of more boys lately than girls. Before it was all girls with only 1-2 boys.
Have any of you seemed to attach more to boys or girls?
I have a 3 year old DCB (had him since he was 9 months old) that I'm about ready to terminate. I love his family and he's been here for so long that I've become attached but his behavior is just too much to tolerate anymore.
He hits others and himself, he chucks toys, he tells me "No", he screams when he doesn't get his way, he runs, he takes away the toys others are playing with, he's just not the nice boy he used to be. He runs laps around his parents but I know his mom doesn't put up with it as much as dad.
He gets time out, gets separated from the entire group in another room, I've even gone as far as putting him to bed if he shows signs of being overtired. Within 30 minutes of being dropped off this morning, he threw his cereal across the room because I wouldn't give him more. (He hadn't even finished what I gave him to begin with.)
Then when he's put in time out or separated, he screams this high pitched squeal.
What do I do to get him back to following the rules and stop with all the defiance, outrage and anger?!
