    Hours

I saw a sign posted on the light pole yesterday for a daycare provider.

She is listing her hours as 24/7. I would like to know how she is going to do that. I was told by licensing that you cannot sleep, even if the children are sleeping.

I see it all the time as well.

Typically they are not Registered/Licensed or monitored.
    - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.

      Perhaps she has a helper?

Here we can sleep we just have to be able to wake and hear the kids if they get up.

..... I see that all the time too. So I decided to call someone to see how they did it.

The lady that I spoke with was a mother, daughter, grandmother operation. they calimed that they worked in shifts.

        Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible.....

There is a whole section on night care (6 p.m to 6 a.m.) in my state's regs. Providers here are allowed to sleep while the children are in care as long as both providers and children are on the same floor of the house.
