    Indoor Activities

I know that I have posted in the past about activities and I am doing it again. I live in Montana and it has been raining non-stop and now school is out, my daughter, age 7 is home and now I seem to have a bigger challenge. What kind of games and activities do you have your kids do when you can't go outdoors? We are bored of playdough and do many other things throughout the week. I'm looking for ideas aimed more for 4-5 year olds. Busy projects would be great to find but I obviously have not had much luck. Is anyone available to help????

    Mother may I
    Twister
    Simon says
    Dancing
I would do stuff that will make them use their bodies so they are getting some form of exercise

    Also
Give them large boxes to paint one day. Any size shape box
After they dry have them try to stack them.

    Board games
    Teach skits
    Rice table

I do a summer schedule for the older kids. I have my 5 and 9 year old, a 6 year old DCK, 4 year old DCK, and a couple 2 year olds.
The 2 year olds just play. But for the older group we do summer workbooks called Summer Bridge. I get them on Amazon for about $10 each. They have 1-2 pages daily of "homework". There are based on the childs age, and they have preschool ones.

Each day we do storytime and a calendar. During the 2 year olds naptime, we do the workbook. Then each day we do a different special activity.
      Monday-Arts and crafts
      Tuesday-journal writing
      Wednesday-cooking project
      Thursday-Arts and crafts
      Friday-computer games

Even the little ones can do a weekly journal. They can practice writing their abc's, or draw pictures. Most of my activites come from websites. My most commonly used ones are

DLTK-Kids offers a wide range of fun and educational activities for children, including crafts, coloring pages, worksheets, and more. Our activities are designed to be simple and easy to follow, making them perfect for young learners.

We also do a lot of dress up, board games, and building forts out of blankets and chairs. I try to plan the week out on the weekends, having a few activites each day so I have them pre-planned for if the kids are bored.
