    an FYI for outings

A couple of ideas for those who take the kids on outings.........

#1 I have a little book in my purse that has all of my important info, a recent pic of all the kids, and all of their emergency info. It always stays in my purse but is small enough to stick in a pocket.

#2 Take a pic of each child with your cell phone on the way out the door. Should a child get lost, you have an up to date pic showing what clothing the child has on. You can always delete that pic when you get back home.

#2 is a good idea for parents taking their own kids out to large populated areas (amusement parks, zoos, etc).

    Great tips!

I don't use a cellphone, but I almost always have my camera with us when we go and play outside to take snapshots of the kids playing, so I am deifnitely going to start taking a photo before we leave the house.

I also really like the information book idea!

    Thanks!

also avoid heavly populated areas. I know if I go over to the next town to play its so packed with kids its crazy, and no one watching their kids. So I go to another town to play. I also times really matter too. But I like your suggestions.

I also use sticker labels that I attach to the upper back of each child. It has my name and cell phone # to contact in case they get lost.

Love the idea of taking pics. I don't take the dc kids anywhere but my fenced yard but for my own kids I think I will start doing that.

I copy the emergency county form that they fill out at sign up.
it has a list of all allergies, insurance info, emergency contact info, full name, address and phone numbers of both parents,as well as other emergency people to contact. I then have a small photo attached to each form. This way should something happen while out I have all of their informaiton on hand.
