Great info. EVERYONE should turn off the camera GPS locator.

I have a blackberry, I went into my camera settings, and it says geo tagging..disabled, is that what I turn off?

I found this news station that has tutorials on how to turn it off. Mine was off already when I checked.

Thanks for sharing that link. I passed it on to family and friends. i don't think I have a problem though because I don't have GPS subscription activated, plus I just email all pics to myself, save on my PC then upload to FB or email etc.

i just wanted to share.

i realize that social networking sites, to some people, is an advertisment, and full of info, if they wanted to find you, with this gps thing, it's a hell of a lot easier.

for most it probably won't apply to you, but it's something to keep in mind if you know anyone who does do this.
