I told her I felt it was an attention seeking behavior. The mom must of told her twelve times in the few minutes she was here, no accidents right! If you listen to Rachel and don't have any accidents I will take you to the store and buy you a treat. Well I am not going to be responsible"listen" wise to whether she gets a treat or not. Not my job
So here we go, eyes forward
I am not going to be after this kid every ten minutes to see if she needs to go poop, I think that she would love that kind of attention

Did she come in diapers or pullups? It doesn't matter how upset the mom is. It doesn't matter what words she says to you about it or the words she says to the kid about not doing it. What matters is the kid is pooping her pants without protection.

Part of being potty trained is not needing attention. Being able to go potty without an adult involved is just as big of a part of potty training as peeing in the pot.

Don't be fooled by words. Just look at what she is doing and what needs to be done to protect your equipment AND YOUR TIME. The time it takes to clean up the mess must be considered in ADDITION to her weekly fee. If she reverts to where she is just not trained than they either need to pay for additional services and cleaning or they need to put her back into diapers until she can do it on her own.

Using the word accident implies there is a future where it won't happen. This is not an accident. It is a kid who is pooping her pants. It doesn't have anything to do with bad luck or a mistake and it is NOT a teachable moment. It just is a kid who is pooping somewhere else besides the potty. Nothing more nothing less.

      thanks you guys,
What I did today was when they got here, I had them sit at the table and play with the wooden pegs. I was pleasant and visited with her while I did dishes. After breakfast I asked her to please go pee before we go out. No mention of pooping. She pooped in the toilet and I let her choose a sticker. I didn't make a big deal of it and went about our day. We went out and every half hour we came in for a potty break.
      So far so good.
