any ideas out there? My group is fairly young. Only one is over 2 years old so they aren't really old enough to craft but I like to have something for dad. Also, totally missed Mother's Day this year because my daughter was born that week. I was thinking a combo Fathers Day/belated Mothers Day idea would be great. I am willing to spend a little bit of money on this to make it special but would love for even the babies to have some part in making the item.

We'll be decorating travel mugs for Dad and filling them with chocolate "kisses". I bought the mugs from Oriental Trading. They have paper inserts that the kids will paint/color/stamp. It's pretty simple, but I have age ranging from 8 months to 8 years the week before Father's day so I needed something for everybody.
Good luck!- Flag

She can. We've experimented with that and finger paints. I hold her on my lap and navigate the paper to try to contain her art! I like to get the little ones used to coloring and painting as early as possible. Just keep baby wipes handy!
I'm planning on writing or painting " I Love My Daddy" or "Happy Father's Day" on the insert, and then have her color or fingerpaint over it.- Flag

I use fandango so I decided that my 2yo's will be getting tickets to see Cars 2with their Dads the 24th when it opens and a handprint card.
All the youngers Dad's will get brownie trays and a handprint card.
Simple works for me in this 90+ degree heat. ::

Catherder, yes! Just fold a piece of construction paper, paint the childs hand, smoosh it onto the card...whalaa, beautiful and a personal touch!! Or just have them fingerpaint a picture and cut out a portion of it, (like a heart-shaped portion) and glue to construction paper card!- Flag
