Recomm. for Steam Cleaner?

Anyone have a steam cleaner for their carpets? I'm thinking it is time to invest in one. Thanks!

I own a bissell, its a smaller one. Its perfect size and I use it all the time. I bought it because I can't stand the smell of puke.

I have the Bissell Little Green Clean Machine. I like it.

I've had 2 or 3 of the full sized upright type over the years and all of them have been Bissell. I downsized this year to a Bissell Little Green Machine for spot cleaning. For the twice a year, deep clean I rent a Rug Doctor for $25/day. I love not having to store that darn thing.

I've had three over the years (that's not saying much for their quality, is it?). Two were Hoover, the one I have now is a Bissell - the pet one, I forget the model.

The Hoovers were pretty decent, but the second one broke less than a year after I bought it, fortunately it was covered under the mfg warranty, then it broke again, right after the warranty ran out. The Bissell has been pretty good at cleaning, but it tends to leave the carpet pretty wet, so the suction must not be that great. If I could combine the suction of the Hoover with the cleaning of the Bissell, I'd be a happy camper .
