    Interview Follow-Ups

Do you call/email parents back a couple days after an interview to thank them for meeting with you, let them know how much you enjoyed meeting them and that you'd love to have their child in care (assuming that's true, ), etc? If so, when do you contact them and what all do you say?
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I just posted on this the other day. I do follow up with them by phone or email. Whichcever I have time for.

I just say thank you for taking the time out of your day to see what we ahve to offer here at *** DC. I also invite them to ask any more questions if needed and then sometimes will tell them I felt that thier child would be a great fit to our group. I also tell them as a parent I know how hard it is to find a good fitting DC for thier child. Something along those lines..

If I really liked them I would invite them to come back to another interview.

I conduct my interview between 3 & 5 in the afternoons so I email parents the same evening after all of my children have gone home. I thank them for coming and visiting my home daycare and if the child and family seems like a good fit, I let them know so. I don't give out my references until I call and ask for the okay from all of my current families, so this is why I email back that same evening of the interview. It gives me time to call and request them.

I'm sure it may be more professional to call, but I always blank out on what I want to say to the parents so I stick to the trusty email world.
