    First Day Of Summer Break

And I am scared as to what I am going to do with my challenging 5 yo dcg. She is the one I posted about who may have severe mental issues. She has this laugh that shreds on my very last nerve, I don't know how to explain it. She does it when she is getting out of control, and it is a signal to me to shut her down, or it is going to get very bad. She has been doing it all morning and I have had to be on her 100% of the time so far. It is going to be a LONG summer. Ugh.

If she's that demanding of one-on-one attention, why don't you up the rate or term them? No way would I go all summer long with it.

She might get better she just might be excessive right now because she is trying to adjust to being there the whole time.

I have had the very trying one and it is so tiresome. I haven't any suggestions except what you are doing, stay on top of her and don't let her get out of control. The one I had spent a lot of time playing alone because some days he couldn't control himself and wanted to hurt the other kids. I did end up letting him go. It was to exhausting to try to keep on him and still watch the other 5. He really needed one on one.

We still have 2 more weeks before school gets out.

I've already told the parents that there are going to be some major changes with the kids.

Good luck to all of you- I have one school aged girl and that is it, 2 days a week. I actually am looking forward to her, only 2 days. We will be doing different things everyday!! I can't wait!!

You may want to give mom a probationary time. You don't want to let this child ruin everyone elses summer, YKWIM?

I would give it 2 weeks, put a star on the calendar, if no improvement let her go. Let Mom know the deadline TODAY, so it does not come as a surprise.

The problem may solve itself as Mom may move her or step up and discipline DCG out of fear of losing her spot. I have had it work both ways.

I once had a 3yo hellion that made my blood pressure so high I was dizzy by noon... I gave the two week deadline then, I kid you not, 1st Monday back he walked in with "Good morning Mrs. ****. I am sorry I was not nice to you, can I play with your toys if I promise to play nice?"

Then, get this!!!!! He did for the whole next year. No, I did not ask...:::: I do know his Grandmother was there for a visit over the weekend. Gift horses, you know...
