    Nevada Ratio

I would like to know if it's true that if you have 35 children in a day care in nevada ages 2 yrs over the ratio would be 3 teachers even if pre school, pre-k and twos are in separate classrooms. I had someone telling me that it's ok for the 3 teachers have this many children in separated classroms.

If that is legal, its innappropriate, at best. We have 3 staff for 15 kids ages 1-5. In the scenario you described, that's OVER 10 kids per adult?!?! Nope, not appropriate. But hey, in FL, you can legally have 9 two year olds to one staff. That's not right. I would jump off a cliff if I had to do 10+ kids by myself. The name of the game is NOT to have as many kids for as few staff as the law allows. Proper supervision is the name of the game. I bet those 35 kids have lots of discipline problems, unexplained injuries and diaper rashes. UGH. This stuff makes me cringe!
