    Dreaming About Child Care?

Have any of you had strange dreams about this job?

I had one last night where both of my families were late .... one was 1 hour late and the other was 2 hours late. I was actually debating in my dream whether to charge the late fee . The hour late mom shows up and I didn't say anything even about her being late. An hour later, the other family shows up, but instead of the mom or dad, it's 2 strangers I've never met coming to pick her up. In my dream, I am scrambling to look through the contract to see if these women were even allowed to pick her up. The craziest thing was that I was providing free child care to this girls friend also....wth? I would never do that in reality! I decide to text both families that they do have late fees they have to pay. Then the really late family has the nerve to say that they suspect I wasn't changing the boy's diaper frequently enough (who I should not have even cared for and was a nightmare child) so they filed a complaint with licensing.

I think I dreamt that because the real daycare family #2 really angered me this week and accused my children and other dck for their child's problem!

Anyone else have dreams about daycare families?

Last Spring I was having anxiety dreams about daycare...I would wake up in the middle of the night in a panic, positive that I had forgotten about someone napping in the nap room and that they hadn't been picked up and were still napping in there!

Occasionally I'll have a dream about having to get up early to get one family--this is usually on a day when they really ARE dropping off early and I or DH have to be up extra early to get them. Makes it hard to sleep when I keep waking myself up to check the time!
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

Yes! I have the forgotten sleeping child dream quite often. Or I will have a dream that I go to the store and while I'm there I realize there is still a baby at my house that I left behind!

This is weird though...when I was early pregnant this time, I kept having dreams where we would all be outside playing or on a field trip to the zoo or a rodeo etc. Everything would be going great and then out of nowhere one of the kids would be attacked by some wild animal! It happened every night for probably 3 weeks. It was disturbing to say the least!

One of my dcm's has told me a couple times that she woke up livid with her DH and won't talk to him because in her dream he told her their DS couldn't come to my daycare anymore

LOL.. I was going to come here and ask the same question.

In my dream last night I dreamed that I moved. I allowed the kids to play out in the yard as usual, and I didn't give it any thought... but, at 3:30, a neighbor kid brought back one of the toddlers and said He was in the street.

So, I went outside to check on the kids, and turns out, there was no fence around my yard... I lived next to a train track (wth?) and they were building a taco bell right behind me... so, the construction workers were trying to get all the kids out of the construction materials. The kids were running up giant sand hills and using the tools.

Apparently, I bought this house and never looked outside...and I didn't even have a back yard.

Plus, in my dream, the neighbor kid who brought the toddler home for me, came inside and started playing with everything, then he got on his blackberry and had all the other kids come over to play. They broke everything, and one of the kids had lice. I was trying to facebook the neighbor moms and get them to pick up their kids, but nobody would answer my status updates.

            I always dream that...

I have a dream that I oversleep and the parents are all standing outside waiting for me to open the door. I wake up with a feeling of "oh no! I overslept!" and then realize its just a dream. This did happen to me once when just one boy was coming this one day, so I guess its haunting me haha

Oh! Did you know that there's an old wives tale that says if you hear a baby crying (and there is no baby crying) that it means you are not done having kids?

I had a dream that one of the DCDs was hitting on me... It was one of those dads that is super quiet and makes me uncomfortable because he wont talk! LOL
So in the dream he tells me about his open marriage and how he has considered and he will accept me as his 'other girl'. In the dream, I ask him what does that mean because I had no clue, and when he explained it, I said "eeewwww". then I woke up!

I blushed for weeks after that dream

I have had dreams that a parent forget to pick up a kid and I forgot that they were here. Sometimes I think that I hear a kid crying but no one is in the house, ha ha!

Sometimes I'll take a nap in the afternoon and wake up in severe panic mode because my body slept so well I do not remember lying down for the nap in the first place. I'll wake up thinking it's 6:30 am and my kids missed the bus and then panic because husband isn't lying next to me, and my children are nowhere to be found. I've actually got up, foggily wandered around my house trying to find everyone only to really wake up once I see a clock and become physically aware of what time it really is. Probably some of the scariest feelings to wake up and think everyone was gone, .

its hilarious to me that this was posted right now because 2 nights ago, i had a dream the a dcd came to pick up, but i had to have a shower, and do this and that, and he was sitting in the living room with dh having a beer. i think i dreamt he was waiting for like 2 hours for me to get dcb's stuff ready to go home, and for me to bring dcb to him. weird. i have no clue what i means. usually i decipher dreams, it's really interesting to learn what they REALLY mean, but i'm too lazy, and i can't figure out what the clues are.

i also have dreams about my old job. i'm standing at the register, and my fingers wont work to punch the keys, and the line backs up out the door, and the customers are complaining, and my boss comes out and starts screaming at me.

                          crazy what we dream about!!!

Ugh! I hate having daycare dreams. It makes it feel like I NEVER get off work! I have a dream about daycare at least once every couple of months. I have to say that they are usually closer to nightmares than dreams.

I had a dream....that all my parents take turns helping us with the kids, that I got fabulously wealthy without working, and no child ever cried or got upset ever again. The center cleaned itself, advertising was free and lunch was ready at the push of a button. Oh and poop magically disappears. Oh wait. That's not a dream. It a FANTASY! Lol!!!!! :-P
