Do any of you provide sun hats and or sun shirts for the children? I've asked parents to bring them - but haven't had much luck. If you do - is there a place to buy them inexpensively or in bulk?

I have all the parents provide hats. The kids like having their own individual one. They leave them at daycare and we hang them on the coat rack in the entry way. Last year one parent brought a sun shirt for one dck but otherwise I do not require them. I do however buy a few extra hats at our local childrens exchange store and keep them just in case. -
I supply hats. In the past I have gotten the white ones that the kids can decorate. But they are very poorly made and barely make it through the summer. This year I bought these http://www.orientaltrading.com/brigh...388697&tabId=1 although I bought a pack of 50 for $49.00. I have 12 kids and will need a few extra for kids that are leaving and new kids that are coming over the summer. It was worth it for me to buy them in bulk and only pay $1 each for them since I can just save the rest for next year. They came last week and I let each child pick which color they wanted, we put their names in them and they stay here for the summer. The quality is pretty decent for $1.Comment

Do you all require hats for all ages when outside? I thought it was mainly infants who needed hats when outside. I'm not very familiar with the outdoor rules since we haven't even started using sunscreen yet with all this rain here still.Comment
