So I have a little in care that is small for their age. At last dr appointment, mom tells me that the dr told her to start putting butter in his vegetables to increase his calories. I have never heard such a thing in 14 years of childcare. Has anyone else? I believe there are healthier ways to increase his caloric intake rather then melting butter to put in his baby food.
I have concerns that mom wants the little one to chub up, as she adores the chubby babies.
What would you do? I don't want to go against what mom has asked, but don't feel it is a healthy option.
