    Homemade Bubble Solution?

What's your go-to recipe for bubbles? I'm so over buying the stuff since we go through it rather fast.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

i use big bucket of water (those under the bed long storage containers) and just dump in sunlight until its soapy enough. i use about half of the big huge bottle but thats because i have a huge bin. the kids have those big rope wands, and stuff, so they need lots of space to dunk it.

      Best Homemade Bubble Solution
      1 cup water
2 tablespoons light karo syrup or 2 tablespoons glycerin
      4 tablespoons dishwashing liquid

KARO SYRUP IS VERY STICKY- DO NOT USE THESE BUBBLES IN YOUR HOUSE.
And for some strange reason it works better if the whole solution has been in your fridge for 30-1hour or so. I think it thickens up the karo and makes the bubbles better. Not sure why though?

And we use JOY dishwashing soap. I have found it better than the generic for this purpose.

Also, we twist up pipe cleaners and use those as wands too. You can only use them for one day though as they get gross.

Every time I have made bubble solution it doesn't make very good bubbles. I've tried several different recipes I guess I just don't have the touch, .

This year I bought two of those big no-spill containers ($9/ea at Walmart) with three wands each and two gallons of bubble solution. I was skeptical that they would still spill, but I filled them two weeks ago and we have done bubbles several times with no mishaps. The two of them took about 1/4 of a gallon; at this rate the two gallons should last me awhile!
