I have some Kaplan powder tempera paints. There is no mixing instructions on them. Does anyone know of a way to mix them so that they are not gritty? Using them for our mothers day craft and realize why we don't paint anymore. I dispise this stuff. Thinking I may just toss it and buy some new paint this weekend.

Yeah, I don't use powdered tempra for that reason anymore either.

I had some success mixing with boiling water - and then letting it set/mix/set/mix for a couple of hours before using. But just to mix and use immediately, I could never get rid of the grit either
