I have seen too many almost accidents that I dont even take the chance anymore.
I have read hundreds of news reports over the years where infants were harmed while in the care of child care providers, babysitters, family members etc... and the adult tells the investigators that another kid fell on the baby.

That's a VERY common reasoning child abusers give for broken legs, arms, and internal injuries. I would HATE to have that really happen and be thrown into the pool of all the abusers who used the same excuse to explain away non mobile infant injuries.

No thanks... I'll keep the older kids completely away from the babies so they aren't injured and I'm never sitting across the desk from a detective saying "I'm the one it REALLY happened to".

So the two most common rules we've come up with is:
        1. Baby Bubble (blanket zone)
        2. Kiss/Touch the foot only

What would the rules be if you had a three year old sibling who always wants to be in the baby's face and "help"? I'm not so sure they even let her "help" at home.

I love the foot rule! I hadn't even thought about what I was going to do about baby = dcks when my new baby is born (SOON!!! I hope, ). I might use that. Or I might forbid baby touching altogether...I'll have to think about that one.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I'd say, same rules. Doesn't matter even IF the sibling helps at home--that's a completely different environment, and the parents at their home don't have multiple other kiddos they're supervising at once.
