I just sent home a note on a Friday and had all 3 parents bring a bottle. I told them to remember, I will be using it as a community bottle. So please bring something safe for 8 mo-16 mos.
All brought 3 a bottle on Monday.- Flag

I would like to provide my own, but having them provide it as a community isn't bad either. I just don't like to store things that will not be needed for more than a month at a time. So when I first open I'll have that I provide it and if it doesn't work out so well or gets too expensive the parents will provide it.- Flag

At the beginning of summer, each kid brings me:
-2 spray sunscreens 50 SPF or higher for full-timers, 1 can for part timers
-1 box bandaids
-1 box kleenex
for community use. These items are the variables that get used intermittently, some use more than others, and it keeps the price of care down. I supply anything else that runs out, it ALWAYS does with sunscreen. The other stuff, if I still have leftovers from last year, they get a break and don't have to supply for that time.- Flag

I actually have a section in my PHB titled Summer Rules...
Parents dont seem to understand that even though this is home daycare, I have strict rules. I don't want anyone getting hurt on my dime and the kids are not allowed to play the same here as if they were at home under their parents watch.
Some of the parents complained when I wrote this into the PHB, but I told them it was necessary to keep all the kids safe. One familly left because they thought it was silly that I wrote into my contract that all children must go down the slide feet first and will not walk up the slide....
Oh well cya later..- Flag

I supply it. I have 12 kids. There is no way I would want 12 different sunscreens. I have one who needs super sensitive skin stuff and her parents supply hers. Otherwise I have the spray on kind for their arms, legs, necks and the sticks for their faces. I just line them up and sunscreen them all. I also supply hats for the summer that the kids must wear when we go outside. They get to decorate them at the beginning of the summer and they stay here until the end of the summer.- Flag

We don't have very many summer months here. LOL I'll have to go out and look at the types of sunscreen we have. I'm sure someplace will have a good deal and we will only need to use it once a day.- Flag

Every family must provide a bottle of pump or aeresol SPF 45 suncreen for each child. I do community suncreening too....lining them up, suncreening and then giving them their hat. I apply sunblock 3-4 times a day so I can't do seperate bottles. I get everyone to bring the type I find easiest and use them one at a time. If we run out I get parents to bring in another each or $2-3 so I can purchase what we need to get through the rest of the summer.- Flag
