    Hate To Interrupt Them...

Sometimes, when the kids manage to start playing nicely on their own, engaged and focused, I really hate to stop them for things like diapers, outside, lunch, nap, or snacks.

right now is one of those times. I have no idea what exactly my two dcbs are doing but it's focused, engaged, cooperative, and not destructive! Whatever it is involves the barn and the plastic animals...I'm really not sure. Neither of them talk enough to narrate much of what they're doing.

But I hate to stop them to go make lunch...

On days like that, the schedule gets thrown out the window and I let them play (unless it's naptime). Enjoy the peace while it lasts!

Oh my goodness, never interrupt! As a matter of fact listen up...you may learn a lot, LOL!!!

When my little girl was about 10 years old, she and her little friend were having a heated discussion over what was in a notebook. I was SO afraid that they had discovered BOYS so I snuck up behind them reeeeeeally slowly.......

.......come to find out they were arguing over some math problems they had made up!!! PHEW!!! Glad I let them ramble....

LOL about your dd. That's funny. I really, really wish I could have discovered what they were playing, but they were mostly silent except for laughter and some unintelligible garble from the almost 3 yo. The almost 2 yo doesn't talk much *at all*--a few words here and there. The 3 yo has limited language so far.

Now, when my DD is playing like that, I just sit back and listen because her little imaginary games are sooo funny.

I ended up quietly heading to go get lunch. They followed me after a couple of minutes, in their own time, so it worked out nicely.
