What Did You Average Monthly ?

Ok, so i am one of the laggers waiting to do taxes as always.

I wanted to know what others averaged on a monthly basis for their time-space activities. I use mmk and mine are all over the place.

A few months I average 75 extra hours and some i average about 32.

After reading some of Tom's other post on this he said that the IRS will allow for about an extra 2 hours per day to be claimed?

I do teach a preschool program, so there is a lot of outside planning afer hours...

Ugh.....I hate taxes....hoping to break even this year....

Tom said the two extra hours a week were average. Don't go based off averages. Just be honest and document your hours and what you did those hours. As long as you have proof you'll be fine. If you're concerned about the IRS, just double check your records and ask yourself if you were truely honest about all the hours you have documented. If not, then change it.

I averaged about 15 extra hours a month. I try to do a majority of things during the day though. I don't like having every extra minute taken up with daycare things.

I average about 1-2 hrs a week, during warmer months. However, it snowed just about every day here this winter and I spent many many hours per week shoveling snow.

I think the actual amoung is 2 hours per day. Tom said in a conference I attended this yr the av provider does 14 hr extra per week in prep/clean up etc.

And if you put it all in MMK you should have no problem proving what you did. Don't let those bullies at the IRS scare you out of getting deductions that are rightly yours.
