    Yudu Screen Printing Machine

was on sale at Michael's for $99 so I got one!

Do any of you have one? If so, what has your experience been?

I have had my eye on one of these since last summer but at $299 it was out of my budget. So after imagining all the wonderful things I could put my daycare logo on besides t-shirts, I am a little disappointed after reading the online reviews for this machine The concensus seems to be that the instructional DVD is awful and inaccurate. In addition, using the machine can takes a few "practice" runs in order to get the hang of it - which winds up being very costly. Horrible customer service/support is another ongoing theme in the reviews.

Usually, as long as the manufacturer's instructions are detailed enough I can pull most things off without a hitch. Based on reviews though, I am reluctant to even give this thing a try now. I want to open it and test it out but I fear that if it doesn't work the way it's supposed to, Micheal's will not take it back. As much as I hate to, I will probably be returning it.

Someone please tell me that they have one and they love it!

I would call Michael's (or take it there) and be honest with them. Tell them that you want to try it, but want to know if they will accept it back if it doesn't work right. I would think they would. They may only give you store credit, so be prepared for that.

I was planning on making daycare shirts for myself and the kids b/c we were taking a field trip to the zoo. I bought iron-on transfers & shirts at Joann's that just totally messed up my shirt the first time I tried it. Worst iron-on transfers I've ever used! Not only did I take back whatever was left of the iron-ons (I had already printed on 3 of the sheets), but I took back the shirt too! They happily exchanged everything!

      Square One,
You should check out the resale value. If you got a good deal it is worth the try to learn how to use it. Like you said you wanted it when it was 3 x the cost. I would call the store and ask if anyone there has used it and ask for them to show you because you're unsure of the product. Honestly, if they don't stand behind their product you should contact the company itself (the company that made what you bought) and ask questions. If you don't call the store and decide to learn it yourself you can always tell them it doesn't work and either exchange or take in store credit or if they let you they might give you same-type-of-payment in return within so many days.
