At what age do you start letting the "littles" play with play doh?
PlayDoh--What age?

Usually by 15 months, unless they can use it without eating it before 15 months. The little guy I have now will be Nine before I let him use playdough... he eats everything, and I see no end in sight.- Flag

It really depends on the child. I have a 17 month old who I started letting play with playdough in his highchair at 12 months and he was fine with it. Then, I have a 13 month old and 15 month old that I wouldn't let near playdough in a million years at this age.- Flag

Ditto depends on the child. I allow for them to use it when they stop putting it in their mouth as well as show that they can properly play with it.
I use a shower curtain platic mat under the table to catch all the droppings.. just make sure the kids take off their socks....- Flag

Yup me too. I offer it and if they don't try to eat it they can play with it. I use home-made dough so if I introduce one of the little DC kids to playdough and they try to eat it it's not too bad, just flour, salt etc. otherwise I think I'd have a heart attack.- Flag

definitely depends on the child. I have a two year old who I can't even let have crayons without close supervision because she eats them...I don't try playdough with her yet, either.Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!- Flag
