So Whatcha Up to this Weekend?

Tonight my fun-filled weekend begins with something REALLY exciting! I get to clean out my fridge--complete with wiping down all the shelves with soap and water!

I'm actually excited about the weekend because I don't work tomorrow for a change, and I didn't have to take the day off either. We're going to get a bunch of stuff done and hopefully find something fun to do as a family one of the days.

So what are everyone else's glorious plans for this first weekend of April?

Just had the day off!! Loved it. I did have two appts. to get to and then I spent time with my kids and deep cleaned the daycare kitchen table and chairs as well as the daycare kitchen. Much easier to do without a housefull of kids
We have a birthday party for one our kids' to atten Pretty excited to get together with him and play cards over a cup of coffee!

Other than that, we are just r-e-l-a-x-i-n-g.
          Have a good one!

I am reorganizing my daycare. I changed around the furniture with my husband's help last night and now have to reorganize all the little details. I formed little centers for the kids. The two I have right now loved that they can now 'hide' behind the dividers and have deemed the art area the 'house' for some reason. Then the rest of the weekend I'll be quilting and planning what to do in the car for my road trip in May.
            Celebrate! ::

              I have a list.

Saturday is groceries, fabric store for easter dress fabric, dance classes for dd1, shopping for 2 bday party gifts, party for dd1, both dd's to their dads for the night but at different times because of dd1's party.

Sunday is a tat appt to FINALLY get my tat finished, shopping for loot bags for dd2's party, dd1 has dance again which I have to get her from her dads and drop her off again, dd2's bday party (again picking up and dropping off at their dads).

I'll fit in house cleaing somewhere and we need to get a load of pea gravel for the backyard at some point too.

              *sigh*

Going away with my honey next weekend though so I can get through this with a smile.

It is so busy on weekends with errands, having to go for groceries, catching up on laundry, cleaning, cooking meals ahead as I don't have time to cook during the week, etc that I am so happy to see Monday morning so I can physically get a rest!

The only good thing about the weekends for me is that it is quiet and my ears get a nice rest!

I'm putting together a Big Brother Baby Shower for one of my dc boys whose family is expecting baby #2 any day now! We're going to have the party on Wednesday - so I'm making a diaper cake this weekend, as well as setting up some party games - and goodie bags for all of my dc kids! I'm so excited as this baby will be joining my roster in August (mom's a teacher!)

What a neat idea Pammie! The older sib always feels so left out. What a nice way to make them feel connected to the event since it will definitely change his life too!

Last nigh we took the kids to dinner, today I'm getting my haircut and then my husband and I will drop dd off at gymnastics and we'll go shopping (it's 3.5 hours long). Tomorrow I'm going to the barn to play with my horse and then doing homework for most of the day tomorrow.

today my computer guy is coming over to hook up my new computer and high speed internet. NO MORE DIAL UP !!!! welcome to the 21 century...::

then my son has a bday party to go to, and i'll probably go food shopping after that.

tomorrow i am building my own wooden play kitchen, cause i have scoured every single website and catalog and they are either too big, too small, too cheesy looking, too many bells and whistles, or too expensive. i literally want a square box with a couple of circles for burners. thats it. maybe a knob or too. i want the kiddos to have to use their imagination. i went to home depot last night and bought the wood, so i can build it the way I want it. the guy who helped me even cut most of the pieces i wanted, so all i have to do is assemble it!!!!

......so since you are leaving the land of dial up you will post pictures of it right???? I'd love to see it. That is the next big project I have on my "honey-do" list. I HATE the plastic Little Tikes kitchen I have now and want one of those old fashioned wood ones for the same reason.
