Do you ever offer additional services like bringing children to events like sports for toddlers/preschoolers, the zoo, the library, the fair, the skating rink, restaurants....anything like that? Does it cost you anything and how does your daycare find out about child-friendly events in your area?

I take my dck's to the library all the time, and they have free drop-in preschool programs (like storytime, sing n dance things and a puppet show the other day). I have gone to the zoo before as well. We also go to a neighbourhood playgroup once or twice a month, but I don't do any programs that you have to pay for and show up on a regular basis. Too much pressure! What is someone is feeling a bit off that day, or you are just not up to braving the bus (we use public transit to get around). I know providers who do swimming lessons for their whole daycare at the neighbourhood pool in the summer though.
