What was your experience especially at the end and during maternity leave?

Yes I had both of my kids while I was doing daycare. Both times I was running between 7 and 10 kids. I had a 10lb 5 oz boy the first time and I am only 5ft 1 inch so there was no room for him and I was so miserable but was able to work until the day I delivered and was off for 4 weeks and I had everyone come back and everyone seemed happy for me my husband did back up care for me when at the doc and the second time I was pregnant I decided to take 6 weeks and I only had one family come back and I was interviewing the whole time I was off and was able to fill back up by the time i started up again. I loved being able to be home through all of it when I had a bad day or didn't feel very well I could relax a bit(sit or lay on the couch at nap, ect) And I didn't have the fear of having to drop off my child at daycare at the end of my leave I got to keep them here with me. Knowing how there day went.

I've done it 4 times. No issues at all. I took off the time I needed, they used alternate care. I took 2 days w my first, 3 with second, 3 with third and 4 with number 4.

I'm 7 months pg right now (31 weeks). I'm due May 31; this is my second baby. I'll be getting a grand total of 1 week off after the baby is born...second week after, DH will be home doing the day care work...and after that I'm on my own.

It's been pretty good. Some days I feel worse than others and it becomes a TV day. Other days I'm full of energy. Typical pregnancy stuff.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I have 4 kids and I am pregnant with number 5. It does get harder towards the end especially getting up and down off the floor. With my last baby, I had preterm labor and had to go on limited bedrest, but I had an assistant, so if I needed to take it easy, or rest completely I could.

I have to have c-sections and I take off 8 weeks, except for with #4 I took off 16 weeks. I have never had a client not come back.

Two days. It was enough for me. I'm home anyway. Lol. He seemes to not be suffering from it. He's almost 20, healthy as can be and happy too. Lol

Tomorrow I'll be 11 weeks pregnant. I have twins starting soon and hopefully more soon. I didn't tell the twin mom yet, because I didnt want to tell anyone til 12 weeks. I plan to take my two weeks vacation time off and then hire an assistant for 2 weeks after that (if needed-depends on how many kids I have enrolled) or ask a family member to help out a couple hours a day.

TWO DAYS??? What are you, super woman? I can't imagine that whatsoever even if my previous pregnancies/labors were smooth (which they weren't). Sorry, you're kind of making me feel bad that I can't do more although I am sure you weren't intending too. I plan to close completely for one full week, an assistant is taking over full time for three weeks and then we will rehash a new schedule after that depending on what I am up to. I do have 7 kids here total but even when I just had three or four, I still needing more time off.

I only took a couple of days off too. I think maybe three work days, plus the weekend.

Those first pregnancy weeks were MUCH harder than the postpartum weeks.

Sorry,.. Lol. I didn't aim to upset you. Lol. I had no problems. I signed out AMA with the last two, went to a family wedding the day after # 3 and helped my brother shop and set up an apartment the day after #4. I just can't sit still . Ever.

I took 1 week off with my daughter. Not nearly long enough and 4 weeks off the second time. All of my families came back, it was a non issue.
