    One Day I Will...

take a day off simply just to have a day OFF! I give myself 5 personal days and 2 weeks of vacation. So far every day I've used this year has been for someone's doctor's appointments. Today it's me. 2 appointments, both of which I have to drag at least one of my own kids to. I know it's just something little, but sometimes it's the little things we don't do for ourselves that can make all the difference.

So what's your simple, one day I will..?

Take a class, go to the gym, or do something besides grocery shop, run kids, watch kids and haul at least one with me wherever I go!::

Put my needs/wants before everyone elses....as long as everyones fed, have clean clothes, and the dishes are done!

Yesterday was a professional development day for all teachers and I had NO kids. My only goal was to sleep in! Mission accomplished....9:30 baby!

Whenever I say this within ear shot of my Grandma, she says, "Your house will be perfect when your kids are gone! Enjoy the mess and chaos now because you'll miss it when it's gone, you'll give anything to have your kids and messy house back." ::

              We'll see if she's right!!

Eh, I'm not asking for neat. I know that won't happen so long as I have a husband! ::

I'm just asking for things to flow better than they do now!

                    One day I will:

Take a day off and use it for ME and just ME. (A mental health day if you will)::

Take my vacation and not spend half of it feeling guilty!

Take a nap on my day off and love every minute of it!

Change my hours to 9 or 10 a day.::::::::

To have a real vactaion. I've Never had 1. Closest I have come was a couple yrs ago took a 3 day vacation to a bigger city 2 hours away with my son and my Mom. We stayed in a hotel and saw all the sights so we count it as a vacation.

I would also like to have a day where I sleep for a whole 8 hours and wake rested and ready for the day! What a blessing that would be!

to put the laundry away that keeps multiplying. There still in there baskets in my bedroom and I just can't find the time to put it away...it would be nice if my husband would lend a hand..!!

Go shopping and not spend a dime on the kids!! I always buy them things out of guilt when my intent is to go shopping for me. As it is, my wardrobe is lacking and their toys and clothes are overflowing.

Also, thanks for posting this! I was on the bench about whether or not to give myself a free day for my birthday and you inspired me to go for it!!
