I have been teetering on the edge of burn out for a couple of weeks now. Hubs is gone so all of the chores are on me, DD has been really needy lately, and it is March, the month of sunshine and snow showers all in one.
So last week I had three new kids start. On friday I decided to "pretend" they hadn't started yet and just spend the extra money however I wanted. DD and I had a ball! We went to a fancy lunch, rented a movie, got pedi's and new outfits, and best of all I hit a huge toy sale at Kmart! I got: Trio blocks, Geo trax, 2 trains, and 3 track extentions, 5 packs of loving family dollhouse furniture and the van, material to make tutu's, and several packages of dress up shoes. The kids are going to have a ball!
I'm so glad I spoiled everyone this weekend! I woke up with a head/chest cold this morning and I'm pretty sure if I hadn't I would have a really hard time getting up and going to work today.
Moral of the story: Pretend a couple of kids went on vacation this week and pamper yourself! You will be so happy you did come monday morning!
