I went weeks without hearing anything from anyone about needing child care. I was getting so discouraged!! Then within the last 4 days I've gotten 3 phone calls, and 5 e-mails. I've got one interview in an hour, one tomorrow afternoon and one more who is either coming tonight or tomorrow night. Wish me luck!

Congrats! The couple of contacts I've made were either to old for my group, or sibling sets and I only have 1 spot. Really want a full time kiddo.

I am in the same boat... and I know a lot of others have been dead too...

I have had a p/t open spot for the first time and have always filled it right away. I have been advertising since feb 3. Only two calls on it and only one interview.

Nothing different! I had 2 CL ads but the people who are actually coming for interviews, one found me on daycarecenter.com (I think?) and the other 2 from the local CCR&R.

I also have to add that I only just became licensed in Jan, but had 3 interviews with nothing panning out. SO thats why I was discouraged. Hopefully all goes well. The one in 40 minutes is a 9 month old baby girl. I can't wait! I love me some babies!

I never, ever give out my address for any reason until an hour before the interview.

This way it ensures the DCP are still coming.

hang in there....... look at it like this, if she is already late, this just might be saying something about how she will conduct herself in your DC... I hope that I am wrong, but I say things happen for a reason......

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been licensed since February and I've only gotten 3 calls. All were from out of town and misread my ad! I'm hoping that it's just a dry spell and I'll get something soon.

Glad your getting calls. It's been dead by me too. Got license in Jan. and still trying to fill my additional spots from getting my license. I've gotten 3 emails and they are all for September
