i know it's really annoying bc it's such a seemingly simple thing for parents to do.

BUT it's one of those annoyances you can easily remove from your life by just eliminating the problem. i'm sure if you asked around there would be plenty of people willing to give you old clothes their kids have outgrown. or you could go to goodwill, salvation army, YARD SALES and now is the perfect time to start looking.

i have 2 of my own children - one boy/one girl and i have so many clothes of every size that they've outgrown it's not even funny. i could probably dress every kid in a daycare center for a year if i would clear out the basement.

point being - it's much easier to collect some of your own clothing so you don't have to worry if a kid has extras, you don't have to call parents, text them, email them, get frustrated at them when they forget, etc. yeah, it's probably taking the responsibility away from the parents, but it also takes a lot of frustration away from you.

Good idea and if they do take them in public it would be FREE advertising!

I had this problem a few times and I never got my sons clothes back. Same with dinner bowls. She works late and comments on my dinner smelling good shes starving etc. Her being a single Mom I would feel bad so sent a few dinners home for her but she didnt return bowls so I stopped that quick! Same thing with Christmas cookies didn't get the bowl back so after Christmas this yr I bought a bunch of tins cheap so they can just keep them.

I did GIVE a pair of his shoes because the mom was sending him in shoes that hurt his feet everyday because they were too small so we couldnt go out. I told her to keep those tho.

I went on a cleaning rampage last spring and gave all my sons clothing from birth to goodwill. I will be popping back in to buy a few things back and supply the clothing myself with my daycare written across the front Man that's gonna tick her off tho! But it's in my contract to keept a change at daycare. Thanks for the idea!!

Another thing to add to the handbook and that you do NOT have extra clothing so a set of clothing for each child can be kept in your childs back pack or at daycare incase the need arises. If your child needs a change of clothes and there is NOT any in their backpack or at daycare you will get a call from me to bring your child some clothing.
