Hi, I live in PA and have been providing part time and sometimes full time daycare in my home for a few years on an as needed basis for several friends and friends of friends children(only 2-3 at a time). I have my A.A.S. in ECE/EI and 1 year of Elem. Ed. Hoping to eventually go back to school to get my B.A. in ECE and Elem. once my youngest is in school fulltime. (My kids are currently 11, 8 and 3y.o.)
Anyway we will be moving in 2-3 years, either somewhere else in PA or to FL.
I was thinking of starting a home base preschool once we move, for maybe 4-5 mornings a week for 6 children(or up to 12 if I hire a helper). Then if it does well maybe adding afternoons.
Has anyone here had any experience with just having a preschool not a daycare, in PA or FL? I haven't been able to find out much info. on starting a private preschool, just on starting a licensed daycare.:confused: Perhaps later on I would also become licensed as a daycare but that is not my initial plan.
