    Bounce Dryer Bars

has anyone tried these and what's your take on them?

I heard bad things about them not lasting long, and some people said the clip wouldn't stick, others said they couldn't remove the clip afterwards.

So far I love it!!!! I love the smell it leaves, and how the clothes/blankets are so fresh!

    Complaints:
Doesn't last long enough, and a little more expensive. But I do on average 20 loads a week, as opposed to the average 1-3 loads a week? My "up to 2 months" dryer bar lasted almost 3 weeks. This time I'm going to mark how many loads I get out of the "up to 3 months" bar.

I made the mistake of sticking one of these to the inside of my brand new front load dryer drum....worked awesome for awhile. Loved the smell, the no-static clothes, everything the ads promised....and then:

the bars started falling out of the plastic containment thingy and marked up my clothes as if I threw a stick of open deodarant into the dryer and I could NOT remove the sticky part for nothing and now the sticky residue left on the dryer drum is gross!!!

I went back to regular dryer sheets.

yeah I had the deodarant marks too, but just water and a bar of soap gets it off (even has this written on all fabric softeners :P)

I wonder how I will get the clip off the drum if I change my mind...I will probably just keep it on until it falls off eventually.

I have a bounce dryer bar and LOVE it!! But, I have to say it's only lasted half the time. I bought the 4 month one and it's only been in for less than 2 months and will need to be replaced soon. I love it because of the smell it gives my clothes and blankets. I guess having lots of laundry for 4 people really adds up. I haven't had any problems with it falling off... but I would like to know how I could take it off without ruining my new dryer.

I have thought about it but use microfiber towels and no softener in them. So I decided not to.

I prefer not to use anything in the dryer, but my DH ALWAYS does! I use Tide detergent and love to smell that on my clothes. Our clothes rarely static cling together so it's not really an issue. I usually try to beat my husband to the dryer so we don't use another dryer sheet (just an unnecessary expense), but that is not hard to do since he always puts clothes in the washer--shuts the door--then forgets about them. MEN, what do you do?

Mine gets them into the washer then into the dryer, but they rarely make it from the laundry room to the rest of the house. Then when I ask him which clothes in the laundry room are clean, he looks at me with a blank "der...wha?" expression and can't remember which baskets hold clean clothes and which hold dirty ones
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

mine doesn't touch laundry and when he does, he uses FAR too much soap, no liquid softener, and 10 dryer sheets.

No one is allowed to touch my laundry. Lol I'm a bit OCD about it.

Dh used to use far too much soap (like, he would fill the cap FULL).

Then I showed him the little lines on the inside that tell you how full to fill it. We mysteriously go through laundry detergent at a fraction of the pace now...:: Our clothes don't make me itch or give me headaches anymore, either.

I used one last summer but with 3 or 4 loads a day running I went through it really fast so I never got another. Smelled great though!

My boyfriend does all the laundry. I'm spoiled. That or he doesn't like waiting for me to get it done....laundry is my nemesis. She and I do not get along so I tend to lock her in the laundry room until we're naked. ::

I love laundry, but I hate:

                          - going downstairs a 100000000000000000000000 times
                          - folding them and my fingers get all dry and have to touch yucky fabrics like velvet ugh and gross socks
                          - I HATE SOCKS! I have a laundry hamper FULLLLLL of mismatched socks. I HATE SOCKS
                          - putting the clothes away after they are folded.

Did I mention that I hate socks?

My hubs uses about 2 capfuls of laundry soap, because he wants the clothes to smell good. I've tried explaining the soap doesn't wash out properly then, and it stays on the clothes, which ATTRACTS more dirt. Also, I use 1/2 of what they call for on the laundry soaps, it's actually way more than enough. Honestly. And fabric softener I water down by half as well.

When the dryer bar first came out, I bought one. That was before they had time limits on them! LOL!! Mine lasted for literally 6 months and I am a family of five and do lots of laundry! About a year ago, I bought another one because I'd kinda gotten away from buying additives for awhile, and I bought the longer lasting one and it didnt last me but MAYBE a month! It was the same price as the first one I had bought that lasted 6 months so Ive never bought another since! Waste of money to me. Just use a fabric softener in your wash.

I've used the dryer bars, but they went so fast...I stopped. I pulled the clip out of the dryer and then used some baby oil and a dust rag to remove the glue left behind.

I try to use whatever detergent and softener my current family is using...so I smell like the kids. I find, if I smell like them...the littles tend to be less fussy. Currently we are doing Gain with Gain liquid softener. Last year it was Tide with Snuggle liquid softener. I'm getting a new baby in a month, so I guess when I'm done with the Gain it will be whatever they use as I figure my little niece knows me well enough by now and won't notice if I change
